Arriving in Budapest
Beside the well-known airlines, several low-cost airlines fly between Budapest and major European cities (for example Wizzair, Ryanair, EasyJet, Eurowings).
From Liszt Ferenc Airport, you can travel with the airport’s official taxi partner, Főtaxi. Taxi reservations can be made at the official Főtaxi stands located at the exits of Terminals 2A and 2B. Taxis are continuously available at the designated taxi points after the reservation is registered at the stand.
You may also use the Airport Minibus Service, which offers door-to-door transportation. The fixed price is approximately 27 EUR one way and 48 EUR for a return ticket, which will take you to your destination in Budapest and also pick you up at your hotel for your return trip to the airport.
Public transportation between the airport and the hotels/congress venue is less expensive (around 7 Euro in total for one-way). Tickets can be purchased at the BKK customer service centers located in Terminals 2A and 2B, as well as from BKK ticket vending machines near the terminal entrances. Tickets are also available via the BudapestGO app that you can download for iOS and Android as well. To reach Novotel Budapest Danube, take bus 100E to Astoria then change to metro line M2 to Batthyány tér. The hotel is within a 5-minute walk from there.
